INTRODUCTION
I expect you have already bought a book on guitar chords, if not, go and get one. The following pages are to help you become proficient alongside one of these books. It's hard work learning chords and gives you sore fingers for quite a while. Depending on the type of guitar you want to play it is worth mentioning a little tip here, learn the A, E, D and G chords firstas these are the easiest and enable you to play many old and modern songs. Also most books tell you to use the first, second and third fingers to hold an E or G chord but if you can use the second, third and little finger instead it will make life a lot easier later on when you start to use bar chords. These pages give you simple tunes to practise inbetween to stop you getting bored and giving up. It's surprising how being able to play a simple tune or riff can encourage you to keep at it.
Read the page called Guitar Basics first and print it out for future reference and then start on the tunes while learning the chords. I will add more as time allows. Good luck.
